After ten years, the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra has established itself as an essential musical force in Spain, renowned for its energetic, meticulous, and captivatingly fresh performances. It stands out among critics for its distinctive musical style, virtuosity, and technical prowess, placing it among the most outstanding chamber orchestras of today.
Our history
Founded in 2015 by the acclaimed pianist and conductor Manuel Tévar, the Atlántida Chamber Orchestra was born with the vocation to become a benchmark of artistic excellence.

Following a European model, the orchestra maintains a busy schedule in Spain’s leading concert halls and festivals. Our unique style and virtuosity have established us as a benchmark of artistic excellence.
In 2025-26, the orchestra will hold its third season at the National Music Auditorium and its sixth season as resident orchestra at ‘La Sierra Musicfest’. With international tours in Germany, the United States, France, and Austria, Atlántida showcases its artistic excellence and virtuosity on some of the world’s most iconic stages.

Manuel Tévar
Pianist, composer and orchestra conductor, Manuel Tévar is one of the most complete and recognized figures of his generation.
His international career has led him to perform with top-level orchestras in Europe, America and Asia, as well as to appear in some of the most emblematic halls in the world, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Rudolfinum in Prague or the Philharmonie in Berlin.
He has upcoming engagements at the Musikverein in Vienna and the Tonhalle in Zurich, consolidating a career of excellence, versatility and global projection.

Maxim Vengerov
Universally recognized as one of the great musicians of our time, Maxim Vengerov is a Grammy Award winner and a towering figure in the world of the violin. He has performed with leading international orchestras and conductors at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In recent years, he has also established a distinguished career as a conductor.
Mischa Maisky
Mischa Maisky is one of the most celebrated and charismatic cellists of our time. Born in Riga and trained under Mstislav Rostropovich and Gregor Piatigorsky, he is the only cellist to have studied with both masters. His extraordinary international career has led him to collaborate with the world's leading orchestras and conductors, as well as to maintain close artistic relationships with figures such as Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer, and Maxim Vengerov. His extensive discography for Deutsche Grammophon has garnered numerous international awards.
Ainhoa Arteta
Ainhoa Arteta is one of the most prestigious Spanish sopranos with an international career spanning the last few decades. She has starred in productions at some of the world's most important opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, and the Teatro Real in Madrid. Her career has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions.
Silvia Careddu
Silvia Careddu is one of the most prestigious flutists on the international stage. A unanimous winner of both the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Geneva International Competition, she has served as principal flute with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony, and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, and currently holds the position of solo flutist with the Orchestre National de France in Paris. She also maintains an active career as a soloist, teacher, and chamber musician, appearing at major international festivals and academies.
Estrella Morente
Estrella Morente is one of the most prominent voices in contemporary flamenco and an essential figure in today's Spanish music scene. The daughter of Enrique Morente and Aurora Carbonell, she has built a brilliant international career, performing on some of the world's most prestigious stages and collaborating with artists across a wide range of musical styles.
Atlántida Youth
Atlántida Youth es la orquesta académica del proyecto. Reúne a más de 70 jóvenes de toda España de entre 12 y 17 años, trabajando en clave de excelencia, con el objetivo de servir de cantera real para el proyecto profesional.
Their training program is based on orchestral education in its purest form. The year’s work is structured around workshops where students work in sections with guest professors and soloists from the professional orchestra.
Since its formation, it has performed in venues such as the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Minoriten Kirche in Vienna, the Martinu Hall in Prague, the Brno Philharmonic and the National Music Auditorium in Madrid.
Cada año se realizan pruebas de selección que garantizan la continuidad de la calidad del proyecto, siendo siempre el primer objetivo incentivar la vocación y el talento de los más jóvenes con la orquesta – el acceso más natural al mundo profesional – como el principal canal de formación.
